Apparently, there’s going to be some sort of massive national election in a couple of weeks. I’m not particularly sure who’s running or what they’re running for, but those annoying talking heads on the cable news channels seem to be fairly excited about it. Contrary to popular belief, Talking Heads, not everyone is all about this politics thing. Some people only want drama of the scripted, melodramatic variety. Thank Zeus for a channel as progressive and in touch with humanity as The CW, who remains unconcerned with petty matters of political office. The CW is running on the platform of Beautiful People, a platform of Cat Fights and Teenage Sexuality. If this is the kind of change you believe in, The CW is here to provide you with an excellent alternative to all this voting nonsense.
Honestly – who wants to stare at Brian Williams’ suspiciously tanned face or the curmudgeonly pair of Matthews and Olberman or Silver Fox Anderson Cooper for hours on end? Not young people, that’s for damn sure. While every other major network airs coverage of an election that, as far as I can tell, no one gives a flying hoot about, the CW will be graciously providing two hours of original programming, headlined by 90210, a show whose first season has been overwhelming in its greatness. Think of the CW as the papacy, commissioning a work of unparalleled art, show runners Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah as modern-day Michaelangelos and 90210 as the Sistine Chapel. That’s the kind of wonder that the CW will be peddling on November 4.
So, if for you the choice between Angry White Guy and Cool Black Guy pales in comparison to Annie Wilson deciding which male classmate she’ll eventually lose interest in, you know what channel you’ll be frequenting in less than two weeks time. Don’t let society pressure you into caring about voting or politics or the future of your country. These are issues for your parents. 90210 – Yes We Can!

i can’t even believe you would post something like that.
For these young people, it is their future riding on this election. It is the most important election for generations. It will affect everyone and everything and all you can say is where is the drama and sex appeal? The future, our future, is in the hands of one of these two men. This is not an issue “for our parents” this is an issue for us. Stop being immature and realize that it is the young generation that needs to care the most about this election, because in a few years the younger generation is going to start feeling the affects of what evert this president does, and if you don’t care now, then you can complain later when you didnt care enough in the first place.
it’s a joke post. it’s pretty clever
what katie said is right
wes/katie have you never heard of satire?
i rather like the original post, for those of us in canada (speaking entirely for myself) the decision of who becomes president of the usa does not matter one tincy tiny bit to me! Now for you americans i can see where this post could bother you.
How can you be a smart canadian and not care about the US presidential elections!? Our country is just as influenced by America and their leader.. How can you be so naive??
