The 23-year-old, East L.A. native is a total guy’s guy–just like Ozzy, the smooth and confident ladies man he portrayed on TV.  When I caught up with Michael, he revealed exclusively to VIVO Por TiVo that he’s not returning to 90210 in January…read on to get his side of the story and find out which one of the West Beverly High girls he’d date in real life.

Tell us about your Latino background.

I’m a full-blooded Mexican. My mother was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, and my father–the son of Mexican immigrants–was born near Fresno, California.

¡Qué bien! So were you raised in a Spanish-speaking household?

I was brought up bilingual, but there came a point where my mom went back to work and I got a white babysitter, so sadly I lost it. Now I can understand Spanish and put words together, but I don’t speak it fluently. I’m ashamed of that.

Are you a fan of Mexican food?

Of course! I love Mexican food. I’m so simple. There’s this small taco stand in L.A., and I’ll go there and have this Pastor Quesadilla that’s to die for! My grandmother also makes great Mexican dishes.

Before you were on 90210, you co-starred with Latino legends Rita Moreno, Hector Elizondo and Jimmy Smits on CBS’ Cane. What was that like?

I played Jaime Vega, Jimmy Smits’ son on the show. I was bummed when the show got cancelled. It was my first time as a series regular. I wanted it to keep going, because I was working with quality actors and having so much fun. I learned a lot from them.

What was it like working on 90210?

Great! Coming into it, I knew that Gossip Girl and all those shows had a cult following. So I thought, I’d better watch my Ps and Qs and do this right. I can remember watching Beverly Hills, 90210 when I was younger, so to be on set and be like, “Wow, this is a new generation,” was great.

Have you gotten the attention of a lot of female fans?

When I did Cane, they didn’t recognize me. Once 90210 hit, it was weird! I was in Hollywood walking down the sidewalk with a couple of my buddies, and these girls on the sidewalk were waiting to cross the street with us. One girl said, “Can I take a picture with you?” That doesn’t necessarily happen a lot to me, to be honest.

Did you become good friends with any of your 90210 co-stars?

Anna Lynn McCord is great! We have similar personalities off the set. At first, we didn’t get along–I thought she was out of her mind because she’s really out there and has so much energy. But then, we clicked big time.

Which one of the ladies on the show would you consider dating in real life?

I would say Jessica Lowndes, who plays Adrianna. She’s got amazing eyes. She’s also such a great actress, and I find that sooo attractive. Plus, she’s a little bit crazy, and I’m a little bit crazy…[laughs]

90210 is currently trying to cast a Dylan McKay bad boy type to romance Naomi in new episodes. It seemed like you fit that role perfectly. What happened?

For now, I’m moving on. I’m not in the episode returning January 5. I don’t know how they’ll explain my leaving. I think they’ll say something real simple like, “Ozzy transferred.” I’d be surprised if they said anything at all.

Would you return to 90210 if asked?

Depending on my schedule, yeah. I don’t see a problem with coming back. I loved working on 90210, and I liked playing Ozzy because he was different from everybody else. And it was great because I got a great fan base. I would go back, and I want to tell my fans thank you so much for watching!

90210 Dixon Wilson is an adopted son of Debbie Wilson and Harrison “Harry” Wilson. He is staying with his adopted family including the Grandmother. He attends school at West Beverly Hills High together with Annie, his sister.

Dixon is currently dating Silver. He is playing in the school’s lacrosse team. When Harry Wilson’s biological son, Sean, appears, Dixon was jealous of the attention Harry was giving to Sean.

90210 Naomi is the daughther of Charles Clark and Tracy Clark. She comes from a rich family. She is studying in West Beverly Hills High and is best friends with Adrianna Duncan. 90210

Ethan studies at West Beverly Hills High. He was dating Naomi Clark but broke up recently and started dating his Summer Fling from 2 years ago, Annie Wilson. He is on the school’s lacrosse team and is a top athelete.

Silver was friends with Naomi Clark, however Naomi told everyone about Silver’s parents getting a divorce. Therefore silver and Naomi are not as close as before. Silver has a sister who apparently is the school’s counselor. She owns a blog where she has her own YouTube series.

Kelly is the school’s guidance counselor and also is Silver’s half sister. She has a child named Sammy
